American couple Alice and Alexander (Alex) chose the elegant mountaintop town of Ravello, on the Amalfi Coast, as the backdrop to their wedding in Italy.
We met with the bride and groom on the day before their wedding to ensure all of the perfectly-planned details for their dream wedding day were in place.
We assisted Alice, Alex and their guests in enjoying three days of wonderful wedding events, beginning with a pre-wedding drinks reception at the Hotel Garden in Ravello, the evening before their wedding. Guests socialised as they enjoyed drinks and canapés in the hotel’s pretty gardens overlooking the splendid Amalfi Coast panorama.
On the day of their wedding, Alice and her mum were pampered and prepared by our talented hairdresser, who created a sleek and sophisticated look for our beautiful bride’s long tresses.
Alice slipped into her stunning wedding gown, an intricately beaded, sleeveless slip-dress style, ready for her first look moment with groom Alex.
First looks are very significant and romantic moments and we love to see the bride and groom’s reaction to seeing one another for the first time on their wedding day. Alice and Alex’s first look was in the gardens of their chosen wedding venue, Hotel Palazzo Avino.
The Hotel Palazzo Avino is an enchanting 5-star deluxe hotel, housed in the private villa of a 12th Century noble family, in the heart of Ravello. The hotel is nestled within tiered gardens and terraces set against the breath-taking mountain-and-sea views of the Amalfi Coast.
Alice and Alex’s emotional first look moment was followed by romantic photography of the couple, captured by their photographer.
Then, Alex joined the couple’s guests for delicious welcome cocktails in the hotel’s gardens, to await Alice’s arrival for their Ravello wedding ceremony, held on a charming, terracotta-tiled, pergola terrace.
The ceremony scene featured a divine white wooden arch, decorated with enchanting pastel floral arrangements and artistically trailing foliage, created by our amazing floral design team.
Alice and Alex were married in an intimate and personal ceremony, created and officiated by a close friend of the couple. The ceremony was accompanied by the beautiful music of a string trio and by the smiles and laughter of Alice and Alex’s guests.
After the ceremony the newlyweds were greeted and congratulated by their guests before pre-dinner aperitifs were served in the hotel gardens, with a lovely string music accompaniment.
Alice and Alex slipped away for a moment to capture further photographs alone together before rejoining their guests for group photographs.
We arranged Alice and Alex’s wedding banquet in the Hotel Palazzo Avino’s stylish restaurant, where speeches by the groom and members of the bridal party were followed by a delightful four-course dinner, accompanied by a band.
After dinner, the bride and groom’s dreamy first dance, to the gorgeous ‘All of me’ by John Legend, created the perfect opening to the after party, as guests joined Alice and Alex on the dancefloor.
And the wonders of Alice and Alex’s wedding events continued the next day with an Amalfi Coast wedding boat trip. We arranged a fabulous boat excursion from Amalfi to the lovely little island of Capri for the newly-married couple and their guests. Lunch and sight-seeing on Capri were followed by a tour of the island by boat before the party returned to Amalfi after their amazing post-wedding adventure
