Tahisha and Dormois travelled from the United States to our tiny and charming town of Ravello. We created their incredibly stylish wedding in the pretty green gardens of the Belvedere Princpessa di Piemonte and the fairytale setting of Villa Cimbrone, last June.
Tahisha and Dormois’ wedding day was at the heart of three days of events activities we arranged for this lovely couple and their guests, including a pre-wedding pizza party at a wonderful local restaurant and a post-wedding excursion to the island of Capri and its Blue Grotto.
Our photographer, Alfonso Longobardi, began capturing his beautiful photography of the couple’s wedding day as groom Dormois and his groomsmen enjoyed their own wedding preparations at Ravello’s Hotel Graal.
Tahisha’s preparations began at the luxurious and enchantingly eclectic-styled Villa Cimbrone. The 12th Century villa hotel, sits on a rocky promontory overlooking the Amalfi Coast in extensive lush parkland, decorated with statuary and fountains, botanical gardens and grottos and boasting spectacular, panoramic views from its renowned Infinity Terrace.
Tahisha and her bridal party spent the morning of the wedding in one of Villa Cimbrone’s charming suites, as they shared love, laughter and excitement for what was to come, while our incredible hair and beauty team of stylist Andrea Serretiello and make-up artist Nicole Storey ensured that Tahisha and her attendants looked amazing. There was a buzz of further excitement as the gorgeous bridal bouquets arrived, in delicate and delightful pastel shades and carefully crafted to the bride’s exact wishes by our floral design team at Malafronte Fiori.
The soon-to-be newlyweds each took a moment during their preparations to open their wedding day gifts to one another and to read each other’s beautiful dedication of love on this very special day.
With a last check of his black bowtie, perfectly set against his white tuxedo jacket with black and gold paisley lapels and accents, the debonair Dormois, began his walk to to the Principessa di Piemonte gardens, accompanied by his best men.
Tahisha slipped into her elegantly-embroidered, dropped-shoulder mermaid gown featuring a fabulous tulle fishtail. A delicate tulle veil added the perfect finishing touch to Tahisha’s tousled locks adorned with a pretty crystal haircomb. And then the incredibly excited and emotional walked down through Ravello’s cobbled streets, assisted by her bridesmaids.
Tahisha and Dormois’ civil wedding ceremony was celebrated in the Belvedere Principessa di Piemonte’s pretty gardens, overlooking the mountains and shores of the Amalfi Coast. The bride entered by a carpet of white rose petals, along an aisle of elegant white chairs decorated with pretty, pastel posies to join her eagerly-awaiting groom at the ceremony table.
Our classical violin and cello duo played softly and evocatively during the ceremony as the couple exchanged wedding vows and wedding rings before being declared husband and wife, to the cheers of their family members and friends.
Guests enjoyed the charm and charisma of Ravello during post-ceremony celebratory aperitifs at Caffè Calce, while the bride and groom slipped away with photographer Alfonso, to capture memorable Ravello wedding photographs around the town’s pretty streets and main square, Piazza Duomo.
Then the bride and groom, accompanied by the lively tones of a traditional Neapolitan guitar and mandolin duo, led their guests through the streets of Ravello, for their Ravello wedding reception at Villa Cimbrone.
With such enchanting surroundings, as guests admired the unique setting and scenery during delicious aperitifs in the villa’s verdant gardens, the bride and groom couldn’t resist briefly slipping away - at our suggestion - to capture photographs on the villa’s atmospheric infinity terrace.
The wedding banquet was served in elegant imperial style in the villa’s gardens, under a graceful wrought iron gazebo with soft white drapes. The delicate and stylish white and pastel palette sat spectacularly against the panoramic sea-view backdrop as afternoon faded into evening then night and guests dined by candlelight and warm ambient lighting.
As expected for such a stylish couple, Tahisha and Dormois’ wedding cake was a suitably stunning work of art. The two-tone, 3-tier cake featured pretty pink embellishment and exquisitely-crafted peony decorations.
The bride and groom cut their wedding cake and toasted their guests before everyone released lovely white balloons into the night sky. Then, the bride and groom jumped onto the dance floor for their first dance before our DJ’s tempting tunes enticed everyone to join Tahisha and Dormois to dance the night away!
Tahisha and Dormois’ day, just like the couple themselves, was the epitome of style and sophistication and it was such a pleasure for us to turn their desires into reality and to create their unforgettable event!
